Project 1
Project 1 is about taking all the newly learned skills from chapters 1-10 and creating
your first graded animation. The project can be on any subject you choose. I recommend
you create a project that helps your overall learning objectives for the class. For example,
if you are learning Flash to eventually develop web sites, create a Flash commercial. Or
if you're a photographer, illustrate your photos. The possibilities are unlimited and entirely
up to you. Just remember to have fun!
Include in these requirements your first project:
1. Text
2. Multiple layers (at least 7 layers) holding objects or graphics.
3. Symbols and instances.
4. Frame-by-frame animation.
5. Rotate a graphic.
6. Mask an object. (animate a mask object if you're daring! )
7. Apply a Classic Tween.
Remember, your project needs to have a story or a point. It has to "make sense".
After grading,
I will show your project to the class. You will need to submit the .fla and .swf file for grading.
Have fun and really push yourself!

Project 2
Project two is a comprehensive project, you will apply all of the major Flash elements you have learned
thus far. It is recommended you sketch/draw your project on paper for planning purposes before you
begin to build it in Flash. This way you have a visual of the final product before you begin. Keep the
project is line with your personal Flash objectives. Whatever your goals are, go for it!
Remember to really push yourself beyond your comfort zone in this final project. Keep in mind
your project will also be shared with the class after it has been graded.
Include the following in your project:
1. Apply three motion tweens (or Classic Tweens)
2. Apply two shape tweens
3. Apply one animated mask
4. Apply one movie clip symbol.
5. Apply one inverse kinematics.
6. Create two buttons: stop and play buttons. Apply
actionscript to controls the main timeline. (stop and play your movie)
7. Create a button and apply actionscript to link to a URL
Remember, your project needs to have a story or a point. It has to "make sense".
After grading,
I will show your project to the class. You will need to submit the .fla and .swf file for grading.
