Motion Tween Hands on Training Assignment
Note: Motion tweening is a major type of animation in Flash. There is so much to be
said about motion tween an entire chapter in the book is dedicated to all the details it
offers. This particular hands on training exercise objective is to get you to create and
tween outside of the book. But please thoroughly complete and review the chapter
on motion tweening (ch. 11).
Directions:
1. You may draw this assignment or use images. Because I am not an artist I choose images.
2. Open Flash and save as "motion tween". Draw or import your images. Extend the flower image
to frame 60 by pressing F5.
3. Make sure you frames-per-second rate is 24.
4. Add a new layer for the bee. Draw or import a bee image.
5. The frames in the new layer should extend to match the flower layer automatically. Now we
are ready to insert the motion tween. Go to Insert>Motion tween.
6. From here you will move the pink playhead to a desired location on the layer, say frame 20.
Next, move the bee to a different location. After you move the bee you will see a small dot on frame 20.
7. Continue to move the playhead over a new frame and then relocate the bee. See image below.
8. Save your file and press control+enter to create a .swf.
9. Congratulation! Your motion tween is complete.
